Nice. Today is my first day of summer vacation. I am a school librarian. Perfect read for today. I have a substack too! Since I am heading to Europe tomorrow for a month, I will be writing about that for the next month but normally I write stuff for teachers. I hope you don't mind if I took a screenshot of your two coffee cups photo because a view like that, looking out at trees and lush greenery captures a scene that has always been in my head but not yet realized as a place where I want to be. Thank you.
I loved this! And as a mom to a 15 month old am so jealous 🤭 gotta figure out how to implement some me time in the mornings (but she wakes up at like 5:30 🤪)
This is so helpful. I many many times have jotted down a minute by minute ‘ideal morning routine’ only to fall short every. single. time. I love the idea of a fluid routine that has some main themes, but just doing what feels right in the moment. Thank you for sharing!
Oh I love this! I’ve slowly been getting back into some form of morning routine no matter the time I wake up, but it’s especially difficult when I have work that day. I’d love to try incorporating some of these ideas into my mornings!
Thank you! I felt really cozy reading this, and it is a good reminder that I need to make myself a list of morning activities. Mornings are so hard for me because that's when my illness flares the most, so having something to look forward to would help.
All through my working life I had a very strict morning routine due to working needs. Now that I’ve been retired for almost 4 years I have a softer, still very much predictable morning routine. But now it is without the anxiety of before.
I’m notoriously bad at waking up in the morning but am always desperate to have a morning routine like this - perfect timing to try again and incorporate some of these!
I love this. I’m a mom of an 11 month old that wakes up with me and even though it’s hard I still manage to create my morning routine with him. Sometimes slower than others but tbh I think slow morning routines are essential. 🫶🏻
I love this so much! I've been thinking about sharing about my morning routine, and how it varies as well. I think that is so key for sustaining a morning routine. Definitely inspired. Thanks for sharing!
Love this!! The journal prompts are uncomplicated and so powerful—I’m going to implement to my own morning routine! 🥰
love love love <3 enjoy!!
